Down four at the end of last quarter, the Eastern Michigan Eagles have now snagged the lead. They have emerged as the frontrunner after three quarters and are ahead of the Toledo Rockets 45-36.

EMU has been riding high on the performance of WR Hassan Beydoun, who has caught 11 passes for two TDs and 193 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Beydoun’s 64-yard TD reception in the third quarter.

Toledo has been led by RB Bryant Koback, who so far has rushed for two TDs and 179 yards on 14 carries. Koback has put himself on the highlight reel with a 67-yard TD scramble in the first quarter.

This is tied with the most points the Eagles have had yet this season going into the fourth quarter.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles are 1-5 against the Toledo Rockets since October of 2015, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Tuesday. The Eagles and Toledo will face off in a Mid-American battle at 7:30 p.m. ET at Glass Bowl. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

EMU took their game against the Bowling Green Falcons last week by a conclusive 55-24 score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point EMU had established a 45-17 advantage. EMU QB Ben Bryant was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 286 yards on 26 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.
