What to Know
After two games on the road, the Eastern Michigan Eagles are heading back home. The Eagles and the Ohio Bobcats will face off in a Mid-American battle at 8 p.m. ET this past Tuesday at Rynearson Stadium. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Last week, EMU’s offense rose to the challenge against a Toledo defense that boasted an average of only 18.25 points allowed. They skirted past the Toledo Rockets 52-49. EMU can attribute much of their success to WR Hassan Beydoun, who caught 12 passes for two TDs and 197 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Ben Bryant’s 64-yard TD bomb to Beydoun in the third quarter.
EMU’s defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed Toledo’s offensive line to sack QB Dequan Finn six times for a total loss of 32 yards. Leading the way was DL Jose Ramirez and his three sacks. Ramirez now has seven sacks through nine games….
