There were plenty of interesting contests in college football over the weekend but just one upset in the top 10. As a result, there is mainly incremental movement at the top of the USA TODAY Sports/AFCA Coaches Poll.
Georgia is again the unanimous No. 1 choice after wrapping up its SEC slate at Tennessee. Alabama retains the No. 2 spot after essentially a light workout with New Mexico State. Cincinnati improved to 10-0 and holds steady at No. 3.
Oklahoma’s surprising loss to Baylor caused the biggest change, sending the Sooners down seven places to No. 11 which allowed the rest of last week’s top 10 to gain a step with no change in order.
Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler (7) is tackled by the Baylor defense during the second half at McLane Stadium.
Ohio State inherits the No. 4 spot with Oregon back in the top five. Notre Dame is now No. 6, followed by Michigan and Michigan State. Yes, we know – head-to-head, but as we’ve seen the CFP committee isn’t always consistent with that, either.

The OU victory propelled Baylor to the biggest jump of the week, as the Bears climb five places to No. 13. No. 20 Wisconsin is also on the move, up from 24th following its sixth consecutive win.
