Texas continued its stellar day on the recruiting front during the first day of the early signing period. Malik Agbo, a four-star offensive tackle from Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, Washington, announced his commitment to the Longhorns live Wednesday afternoon on National Signing Day on CBS Sports HQ. Agbo chose Texas over Auburn, Miami, Oklahoma, LSU, and Florida.

Agbo is ranked No. 272 overall and is the 22nd-ranked offensive tackle in the 2022 recruiting class. In addition, Agbo is the No. 5-ranked player in the state of Washington.

Though Sarkisian’s first season in Austin was a forgettable one — with the Horns at one point losing a historic six games in a row — he’s doing some work on the recruiting trail as he prepares for 2022. One of the big commitments didn’t even happen on Wednesday, though, with former No. 1 overall recruit Quinn Ewers giving his pledge to Texas after spending one season buried on the depth chart at Ohio State.
