In an update to a story we shared yesterday, it does seem as though Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker is opting out of the Senior Bowl this week down in Mobile, Alabama. Multiple reporters covering the Senior Bowl and NFL draft made note of Brisker’s confirmed absence from the Senior Bowl after it was realized the Senior Bowl did not share his measurements on Monday.
Brisker, who opted out of Penn State’s trip to the Outback Bowl, is one of the top safety prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft and his participation in the Senior Bowl was going to be worth paying attention to against some of the best players college football has to offer in this year’s draft pool. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait and see what Brisker does at the NFL scouting combine if they want to see where he stacks up against the rest of the nation’s top safety prospects.

Like Dotson, it is possible Brisker doesn’t have much to gain going through the Senior Bowl process as far as practice and performance are concerned. But the inability to go through the NFL interview process this week is an unfortunate setback.
No reason has been given or confirmed for why Brisker (or Dotson) are not attending the Senior Bowl, but the hope is we will get to eventually see both at the combine later on in the draft process.
The Senior Bowl does still have some good Penn State representation on…
