New Oregon coach Dan Lanning picked up a big recruiting win on National Signing Day, keeping four-star offensive lineman Dave Iuli on the West Coast with his commitment to the Ducks. Iuli committed to Oregon live on CBS Sports HQ, picking the Ducks over Miami and USC.
Iuli checks in at 6-5, 315 pounds and ranks as the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the 2022 recruiting class and the No. 3 player from the state of Washington, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Ducks were initially the projected leaders to land Iuli’s commitment prior to Mario Cristobal’s exit to Miami. That brought the Hurricanes into the mix with some momentum, but Lanning and his staff were able to secure the commitment and add another blue-chip prospect to Oregon’s 2022 class.
247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman writes that Iuli projects as a multi-year Power Five starter and NFL Draft pick.
Good athlete with mobility, versatility to play inside or outside. Uses strength to open up holes, gets out in front and paves the way when pulling and can pick up blitzers and adept in pass protection. Somewhat of a tweener and had some injury concerns.
