Penn State capped a tremendous Class of 2022 with some true star power, including the top running back in the nation with in-state recruit Nicholas Singleton. And with Kaytron Allen giving Penn State a second talented and skilled running back in the recruiting class, the need for adding more to the depth chart in the Class of 2023 is slightly down on the list of recruiting priorities in the Class of 2023, while offensive line is at the top of the list. But that doesn’t mean Penn State won’t try to make a push for some of the best running backs in the country. Bu the crystal ball predictions for one Penn State target appear to be trending against the Nittany Lions.
Treyaun Webb, a four-star running back in the Class of 2023 from Jacksonville, Florida s among those being targeted by James Franklin and his staff in the next recruiting class, and the indications are supporting the idea that Pen State is in the mix with a long way to go in the recruiting process. According to his recruiting profile on 247Sports, Webb has “warm” interest in Penn State along with Georgia, USC, Arkansas, and South Carolina.
Unfortunately for Penn State, there is not one single crystal ball prediction currently on the board for them. But, as is always the case, the crystal ball predictions can be as much of a guessing game as any, and the leader in the clubhouse according to the crystal ball predictions, Oklahoma, isn’t even reportedly in the mix. Naturally, Oklahoma’s former head coach, Lincoln Riley, may be the reason Oklahoma is believed to be out and USC is considered in the mix (Riley left Oklahoma to coach USC).
