Auburn and Carnell “Cadillac” Williams extended a scholarship offer to Jerrick Gibson Thursday afternoon, the same day he took an unofficial visit to Auburn. Gibson is the nation’s top running back in the 2024 class.
Despite having only played two seasons of high school football Gibson has already emerged as one of the top recruits in the country and looks like a future star. Gibson is from Gainesville, Florida, and was previously committed to the Florida Gators before the staff chance caused him to back off of his pledge.
Gibson transferred to IMG Academy after his sophomore season and will have a chance to play on one of the best high school teams in the country.
It will be important for Auburn to get Gibson back to The Plains on an official visit for them to have a chance at landing the elite running back.
