Colorado picks up a 2023 commitment from Philadelphia offensive tackle

The Colorado Buffaloes football team received good news on the recruiting front. Recently offered 2023 offensive tackle Naquil Betrand officially committed to the football program.

The Buffs had their issues on the offensive line last season during their 4-8 (3-6) season. The team took a step back after receiving a bowl bid in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season to play the Texas Longhorns in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

Betrand could be a building block for the future as Colorado looks to rekindle some of its former glory. Head coach Karl Dorrell has some heat on him heading into year three after a promising start in 2020. Improving recruiting will be the key.

Betrand plays both ways as a defensive tackle and offensive tackle at the high school level. He projects best as an offensive tackle at the next level. After his commitment, the Buffs have the No. 3 ranked class in the Pac-12 and No. 28 overall according to 247Sports composite team rankings.
